London’s Saint Clair are quickly building a reputation for themselves in England’s alternative scene. With previously released songs wiped from streaming, the quartet have effectively hit reset, choosing to step forward with intention. Their debut EP Something To Be Said feels like a clean slate; a full work of art with the potential to define them for years to come.

By opening with a reminiscence on their school days as far back as learning “to spell our names” in ‘Schoolyard’ and ending with ‘Restless in Bloom’, a lamentation of lost innocence which depicts the hopelessly relatable awkwardness of first experiences that arise in later years of adolescence, this five-track debut EP takes the listener through an unfiltered narrative of growing up in the UK.

After the release of their debut EP Lackluster Writing Makes Fundamental Reading in 2025, it was clear that Belfast’s Makeshift Art Bar don’t mess around. That first project already hinted at a band uninterested in half‑measures and their sophomore EP Marionette is even louder, heavier, more fearless, and far more deliberate in its descent into chaos.

Merricat, gaze infused alt-rockers from Dublin, Ireland, met as a group of students in late 2024. They began taking their project seriously since 2025 and have been working together ever since. Their music draws inspiration from a wide range of bands and genres, with key influences including DIIV, The Smashing Pumpkins, Julie, and Mary and the Junkyard. Their two recent releases, "springfield glen” and “merrow”, mark important milestones in the band’s evolving musical direction and will be included on their debut EP, which is out now.
