Fontaines D.C. is and probably will always be one of the bands I love the most. I had been waiting to see them again since the last concert of theirs I saw ended.

This time around it started a little chaotic. From leaving late and getting to the venue even later, from looking for parking and then finding it because of sheer luck and then walking in just to realise we had missed the opening act (sorry chalk!!! I was so looking forward to hearing you!!), it was a whole mess, but I was glad to have made it.

The show itself was on another level, they walked on stage to the sound of Mina's "Se Telefonando" from 1966 which, as you can guess, had around 14k italians going absolutely crazy.

They barely stopped playing and singing, Grian was constantly moving and it was incredible to witness. They have a way of creating a somewhat magical atmosphere with their music and voices blending together with the crowd singing it all back to them.

Starting with Tongue and ending with Where Is Gone? works so insanely well, the setlist was almost perfect (I say almost because the lack of Demolition was criminal), people never stopped singing, crying and screaming, it was so so so beautiful.

In conclusion, I love love love love Fontaines D.C. even if it took us an hour to leave the parking lot after the show and we almost ran out of gas, and I'm already thinking of going to the summer 2027 italian shows.
