I don't usually get this lucky with concerts, my friends know this, as I constantly complain about no band I like playing gigs close to where I live. So this was a very fortunate turn of events for me, Cardinals (a band I love) playing in Pesaro (my hometown).

I brought a few friends along for the gig and I'm pleased to say: they loved it. At the start of the gig everything was very laid back and relaxed, people didn't seem too engaged, which.. could be fair given that the crowd was made up of mostly middle aged italians. But the band, their music and their words did an incredible job at capturing everyone's attention in just a few minutes worth of music and not letting it go once, for the rest of the gig.

It was beautiful to witness, how inside the music and the lyrics they all were. Especially the front man, who often sang with his eyes closed, fully immersed and wonderfully lost in their notes and their words.

All in all, it ended up being a gorgeous gig, filled with people moving along to this new music they were discovering and people, like myself, singing along, lost in the magic of it almost as much as the people playing.

I wanted to congratulate the band, tell them what an amazing concert it had been in person, but, alas, I got too shy and didn't do anything of the sort, so I'll do it now: congratulations, Cardinals, it was a beautiful way to spend an evening, thank you for coming over here and hope to see you soon.
